On the heels of their debut 2016 EP and 2018 full-length album comes "Sailor Songs or Battle Hymns" - the upcoming new album from The Exquisite Taste of Plain Water (ETPW). Comprised of ten brilliant new songs, many of which were written during the COVID pandemic, 'Sailor Songs or Battle Hymns' marks a giant leap forward both sonically and musically and is the first album to feature bassist John Christofferson and keyboardist Jeremy Knuth. This new collection of songs pulls from many influences such as Classic Country, Americana, Pop, Outlaw Country and
Rock to formulate a fresh, engaging and vibrant sound that tells deeply personal stories of love, loss, hope and
desperation that the listener can not only hear, but feel. Combining powerful harmonies, seamless songwriting adeptness and a focus on the authenticity of the lyric with energetic and powerful live performances, ETPW never fails to leave listeners and audiences wanting more and 'Sailor Songs or Battle Hymns' is no exception.
'Sailor Songs or Battle Hymns' will be released in three chapters with an accompanying video documentary, followed by a high-quality vinyl release of the entire album.
